History of Bodies Race Company
Bodies Race Company started in 2011 in Kansas City, Missouri with just one event. Husband-and-wife team Brad and Jen were taking many of their personal training clients to local races when someone suggested organizing and hosting their own race. They did just that; keeping true to their passion to provide the community with a fun, family-friendly running event, they tried to do a little good in the community. The community response was better than they could have ever imagined.
The rest is history.
Today Bodies Race Company has grown to several Bodies races throughout the year in communities across the country! Bodies Race Company has remained committed to getting the community active and healthy by providing high-quality events with affordable pricing. Brad McCleary
Chief Amazement Officer
Brad is the fearless conductor of this crazy train. You can find him burning the midnight oil every night, only slowing down to spend time with his family, watch the Chiefs or grab food to fuel his passion for the company!
Scott Newcomb
Operations Director
Scott takes care of all the processes required that keeps this company running! Scott is, admittedly, the most photogenic of the crew; he tends to strike a modeling pose at any photo op. You should see the first and second takes of this photo!
Erica Munsinger
Marketing Director
Erica is our marketing mastermind who creates and plans campaigns. Around the office she’s known as the fierce shark, using her executive prowess to put markets on the map!
Chris Zeugin
Finance Director
As the numbers guy, Chris keeps us all afloat by keeping the business in check… get it? As a St. Louis Blues fan, one of his dreams is to visit all the NHL hockey arenas.
Eileen Thomas
Support Advisor
Eileen is our superhero! She works with our franchisees to keep everyone on the same page. Around the office she is known for her sassy remarks, willingness to help and a habit of microwaving fish for lunch.
Melissa Hostmeyer
Digital Marketer
Melissa crafts all of our digital marketing efforts: emails, Facebook posts, you name it! Despite working at a race company, this former dancer runs just one mile every 10 years. One. Mile.
Jennifer McCleary
Brand and Apparel Designer
Jen is our creative genius! She designs all the logos, shirts, medals and other cool things you see from Bodies. Jen thinks of herself as a domestic goddess with a farm-girl work ethic, and she always thinks she drinks too much espresso.
Kelsey Singleton
Orders and Fulfilment
On top of many other things, Kelsey ensures that all of participants get their sweet swag! Don’t let her height fool you; she’s stronger than all the race directors combined!
Graeme Murphy
Lead Corporate Race Director
Graeme is our race director guru! He’s the one calling the shots on race day. There is no amount of rain, cold, wind or snow that keeps this grizzled race-day veteran and his beard from putting on a word-class event for you!
Spencer Montgomery
Corporate Race Director
Spencer handles a little bit of everything when it comes to planning races. He is the office machine, known to put work over sleeping and eating. If you need something done, Spencer has probably already done it.
Abbie Cook
Assistant Race Director
With a background in PR, Abbie is known for her competitive analysis skills around the office. Abbie met her goal of earning her ears at Disney World in college, and now she’s setting out to run more than Melissa… a ridiculously easy goal.
Lauren Hulse
Remote Race Director
Lauren is our lead race director in Cincinnati and Louisville and our Indianapolis location owner. When she’s not running three Bodies Race Company locations, she’s running… literally! As if that’s not busy enough, Lauren is also a mom of three.
