LABOR DAY DASH

September 1st, 2018

Join us on Saturday, September 1st for the annual Labor Day Dash 5k and 10k in Grand Prairie.  The Labor Day Dash is a Labor Day themed run that is perfect for the whole family. The fun includes a costume contest, free kids dash, great post race food, and plenty of fun activities and vendors! You are not going to want to miss this one. 

All Labor Day Dash 5k, 10k & 1-mile walk race participants will receive:

  • Chip-timed run on a Garmin-certified course with live results (1 mile not timed)
  • Custom event shirt (must register by deadline date)
  • Custom 3″ finisher medal for all 5k, 10k & 1-mile walk participants
  • Awards for top 3 male and female finishers in each age group 
  • Free race pictures
  • Custom race bib
  • Special youth pricing for 12 and under

Race Start Time:

The Labor Day Dash  5k, 10k and 1-mile will start at 8:00 A.M.

    Friday, August 31 from 2PM to 6PM

    *Packet Pickup is also available on race day at the race location from 6:45 to 7:30 AM.

    Race Pricing & Registration:

    Labor Day Dash 5k & 10k fees are the same

    • $31 through July 8
    • $35 through Aug 12
    • $39 through Aug 30
    • $43 at packet pickup and on race day
      *Virtual Race entries are $40.

    Youth (12 & Under) – if they want a t-shirt, finisher medal, and bib.  Otherwise, they can run in the kids dash for free!

    1 Mile Walk

    Volunteers – can’t run or have someone coming to cheer you on, we are always looking for help! It’s rewarding and we will reward you with a free entry for helping out!  Contact us for details.

    Race Day Schedule

    We aim to provide a great race experience by keeping everything organized and on time. If any adjustments need to be made we will make announcements to keep you up-to-date. Thanks for your understanding and support.

    • 6:45-7:30 – Packet pickup & race day registration
    • 7:40 – DJ led, fun warm up
    • 7:45 – Costume contest
    • 7:50 – Kids dash
    • 8:00 – 5k  and 10k race start

    Immediately following your finish you will have live results, post-race snacks, and finisher medals waiting for you!

    Age Group Awards

    Prizes for the Labor Day Dash will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the 5k and 10k races. The age categories are: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

    *If your award is not picked up on race day you will need to email within one week to make arrangements for pickup or shipping.  Thank you and congratulations!

    Our mission at Bodies Race Company is to make a positive impact in our community. We do this by providing a healthy activity for the whole family and benefiting local charities. We want everyone to have a great time and invest in their health but we are calling on our great community to help those in need by donating personal hygiene items needed to support Grand Prairie United Charities. GPUC’spurpose is to provide help for low income, elderly, and or disabled individuals or family who need emergency assistance.  Please bring donations to packet pickup, race day or even to GPUC any time before the race
